Because they are your friends, not rookie soldiers that you command and train. They work differently because you are not in command of them and they will make their own decisions and do mechanics themselves in dungeons. With squadrons, you have to make them do mechanics or they will stand in them.

True, but as a commander it can fit nicely in some manner of ordering your Trust partners to, idk train or level up? It can be a other facility, but for sake of easing it you can command it from barracks.

There's no commander in the Scions by the time you get to where Trusts are.

Everyone just works towards the common goal and they discuss the best course of action and come to an agreement or compromise on things.
