Preferences for a new world in 6.x, 7.x and beyond

I just read it, but it's still open ended as to whether Midgardsormr can essentially do a better job than Hydaelyn when it comes to keeping things in check. Since we possibly never initiated the Elpis loop in that timeline, we're not even sure if Midgardsormr has that meta-knowledge in the event they might try to take out Zodiark or anything.

FFXI has done similar things. If we're going for self-contained story arcs, it'd be fine to expand on it just this once for FFXIV considering what this specific timeline has done for the "main" one. At the very least, we get to see a picture of what Etheirys might develop into centuries into the future before going back to a more grounded setting.

Edit: Also we'd get to see Midgardsormr again, that's a huge plus. Midgardsormr still has to take his 200 year nap to recover in the current timeline, so interacting with an actual full-power Midgardsormr as he tries to shepherd a world from the brink would be a treat.

On a final note, I really want to know why we ended up branching into alternate timelines rather than having the closed loops that Alexander and Elpis created. This will forever remain a plot hole until it gets resolved.
