Why doesn't Blue Mage have a Limit Break option?

Since the job's icon is literally categorized as a DPS caster, it seems like Blue Mage should have AOE attacks for Limit Break at the very least; it's weird to me that it's the only combat class or job where I can't use that button at all.

One possibility for the future is that it could become a high-level trait rather than a spell or role action, where the effect of the Limit Break is based on your mimicked role; that's what I would personally to see, although I'll be happy with just anything in the meantime.

To be fair, I feel like this should be the case for all jobs (or at least those who'd potentially rotate between role affinities based on current summon/mech/song) -- or in the sense that the Limit Break would be more dynamic and manipulable instead of merely one-off role-based action.

Considering we'll probably be able to fight Seat of Sacrifice during EW, perhaps the chance to learn it has yet to come.

But that being said you have Final Sting, Diamond Back, and while White Wind doesn't raise it's still very op.

That would actually be a great place to learn that as an acquired trait, although it does mean that you would need at least one tank (that isn't a blue mage) in the party in order to survive the Limit Break attack.

Unless SoS is unique in that LB, won't Diamondback cover it? If not how do Blue Mages deal with the other cases of tank LB, like T13, A12S and there must be one in Omega as well?

Just let it be the dps limit break Ultima... Same spell for the 3 stages of LB, but the power/size/animation varies accordingly.

Final Sting. Selfdestruct. Transfusion. Those are the BLU limit breaks.

You can also argue that BLU also has Matra Magic, Angel Snack and Dragon Force as LB's as well.

In what content does a BLU actually require a limit break? Is it that hard to get through that remaining 4-9% of damage in an unsynced instance?
