As much as I desire harder dungeon myself, so long as the dev are obsessed with general accessibility they will never attempt to do this. This will upset the very crowd they’re trying to cater with from beginning.Actually, my preferred solution would be for the content to prevent speed running by mobs hitting harder and having more health and even some additional trash mechanics. I know it's very unlikely, but this isn't gonna stop me from asking for it.
Like I said in the OP, I didn't expect this to be a popular opinion, and I accept that "it's not you, it's me" I just wanted to give the feedback of my experience, something that I assume is at least part of the reason these forums exist.
The issue is that they're equating accessibility with difficulty when they shouldn't be doing so. The only thing really that anyone could argue as not being accessible is housing due to it's limited resources. Everything else is accessible to everyone. They just need to complete the prerequisites to get there. For some reason they choose to appease a minority of the player base that does little more than complain about everything that they find inconvenient and in doing so have nerfed and dumbed down content which really only succeeded in enabling lazy player behavior.
This is SE fault for making stuff so easy people can just bulldoze through content. If other MMOs allow it too, it is wrong of them as well. My friend quit the game after being left behind like trash in Praetorium while the players just ran from CS to CS, I tried to get him to stay but no dice. Instead of preserving Praetorium they should have split into two small dungeons and made them harder and more engaging.
They should just make an engaging experience from lvl 1-80 TBH. They had that, but they let ILVL creep too high where its just not a fun game at lower levels anymore. Some of the raids in Crystal tower series you may as well watch a movie of them getting run, because you are just walking through....
But yeah, people will complain about that too.
If that’s all it took for your friend to quit… if praetorium didn’t do it then, something else would of triggered them later. Not everything is made for everyone.
Honestly, the rushing gets annoying for me as well. If I get a drop I'll look at it for a second. If I happen to be the healer and the tank doesn't think it a good idea to wait 5 seconds that's on them.
Yeah, go ahead and blame him for the exact problem in the title of this thread. Seems like a lot of people will be quitting because people defend not doing anything to improve things here.
I'm going to have to disagree with you there. As a tanker with anxiety, it gives me panic attacks when people run ahead of me. I will never be thankful that someone decided to run ahead of me, because if I screw up and they die, they're going to blame me, when it was not my fault. This is the kind of thing that makes me afraid to tank, even if I do want to.Get this tank = leader mentallity out of your head asap, leadership comes through competence, not titles. If someone else pulls for you and drags the mobs into you be glad you had to do even less and if they dont do that, tell them to start doing that. Taking over aggro as tank is an absolute joke and people dont just die to 1 or 2 auto attacks either.
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
its hard to blame SE for something that the PLAYERS do.
let be realistic, a majority if not all of the people rushing through figure they have to do things as fast as possible. thats society and gamers. everyone is in a rush, everything is expected to be fast so they dont, heaven forbid, have to think.
dont blame the game, blame people.
the people that want to rush... will always rush, no matter what the developers do. its current human nature. because deep down, a majority are terrified of... "boredom"
If you are legit getting panic attacks over tanking, you may want to seek professional help, as that is not healthy.I'm going to have to disagree with you there. If it's just a "I get uncomfortable", please don't use that phrasing.
As someone who had near crippling anxiety attacks as a child, I do not really understand why people are so hung up on tanking, while healing has much more pressure.
Tanking requires just being in front of the party and pressing enough buttons to hold hate, and little else.
