Please let us redeem Alliance Raid coins for equipment

I understand that MMORPGs are largely about retaining players (and keeping them paying) for as long as possible, but I have to say it is incredibly demoralizing to grind a single raid for months and still not have the desired equipment because the pieces you need simply will not drop from bosses.

"Raid coins" like the Manufactured Coin, Puppet Coin and Breach Coin are currently only used to purchase upgrade components for Tomestone Equipment, and I believe they would be a better feature if they had the secondary purpose of allowing the player to purchase equipment from Alliance Raids. Not only would this prevent them from becoming obsolete with the beginning of the next expansion, it would also act as a solid "bad luck protection" to prevent cases of someone playing the same dungeon a hundred times to obtain one specific piece of equipment, and burning themselves out from the game in the process.

I signed up on the forums to ask for this very thing. In the past 5 days I have ran the Puppets' Bunker 17 times and haven't seen the boots of healing drop even once. It's honestly starting to feel like there's something wrong with the loot tables and it's impossible for them to drop now... I know that's likely not the case, but the statistics of not seeing them drop even once in 17 runs are absurd.

Agreed. Even if the rate is 1 coin per run and 10 to 15 to trade for the item, at least I could engage with the content and know I'll get something eventually. As it stands now there are a variety of pieces from the NieR raids that I want but I have never seen drop once in the last 2 years so I've decided to just stop engaging with the content altogether.

Or worse, when you queue in and all the other dps are the same role as you. For some reason. And then when the item drops you don't get it because someone decided to roll need on it only for them to never even use it. I'm not setting foot in those raids again until I can run them unsync, that way I can at least just spam them to get the items I need...assuming they finally drop

Call me a cynic but I doubt running Alliance Raids in an undersized party is going to be added to the game anytime soon, since many encounters across all ARs are designed for 3 teams in seperated spaces. For example the triple-catwalk fight in Labyrinth of the Ancients which requires at least 5 players on all three platforms. This Raid would be impossible to finish alone and changing it to be would require significant restructuring efforts. However, the ability to purchase items with coins would at least fix, or circumvent, your primary issue; bad luck making it so that the items you want or need simply do not appear, by allowing you to eventually get what you want by just clearing the content enough times. And it would be less effort to implement, or at least I assume so, since I cannot, and don't want to, imagine that placing a merchant somewhere in the world that sells these things would be significantly more demanding than compiling a few .xml-tables.

I have grinded The Tower at Paradigm's Breach to exhaustion because many costume pieces just would and would not drop, and frankly I believe I wouldn't have bothered if I had anything else to take care of in that time period, and if I wasn't aware that these raids' populations will likely plummet upon the release of Endwalker and the Lv.90 ARs, effectively making those equipment pieces impossible to obtain in an appropriate amount of time in only a few weeks from now.

I'm pretty sure we already can though.
I've done the Crystal Tower raids with 1 person in each alliance.
