    I remember a friend of mine told me an easy way to recognize which ones were Astral and which were Umbral. The Astral ones could be put into a bottle and the Umbral ones couldn't (so it'd be... Water, Earth and Ice that are Astral and Wind, Lightning and Fire that are Umbral)
    You switched astral and umbral there.
    Wind, Lightning, and Fire are Astral.
    Water, Earth, and Ice are Umbral.

    Aha, thank you. I knew I had the 'put in a bottle' thing right but I couldn't remember for the life of me which were Astral and Umbral

    We're supposed to get more instant-cast and general use debuff spells on mages sometime around 2.0 when we get PvP so I'm expecting stuff that Yoshi-P mentioned like Bind/Charm etc. Reraise would make non-PVP fights too easy, especially if we could cast it on others, and I don't think its a good idea to give one ability to PVP that you won't get outside of it or vice versa.

    @Brannigan: I'm kinda hoping that CNJ splits off to a nuking class similar to Elementalist from the Tactics Advance games, nukes coupled with utility debuffs. It would also be nice if we could reverse-combo Aerora > Aero for example to make Aero and its DoT effect or Stone's Magic Evasion down AoE.

    Anyway it'd be cool if Tornado was a high level conjurer spell if/when the level cap is raised. It could be a cool crowd control/damage hybrid possibly like Estellios suggested. Of course there's still Aeroga/Stonega but the blizzard spell skipped a line so why not this one? WHMs already do a lot of nuking in parties if things are going well so it'd be cool to see them get some growth in that department.

    A shaman makes more sense to have tornado than white mage itself. It's description says it's also known as Shaman. What we are talking about Conjurer/White mage, not shamans.
