Edges of screen missing on PS5; HUD clipped off

I just transferred from PS4 to PS5 and I am actually missing some screen real estate. About an inch of the screen is missing from all sides and my UI has been clipped. My screen on PS5 looks like this:

when it should look something like this (my HUD on PS4)

When I try to edit the HUD layout on PS5 I can drag the windows far enough to the point where they actually disappear off-screen. This wasn't possible on PS4. For example, that's the furthest my HP/MP bar can be dragged down in the 2nd pic.

Adjusting the display area and resolution settings on the actual console did nothing.

I have set up the PS5 to multiple TVs and fiddled with their respective TV settings to no avail. Adjusting the aspect ratio, changing the picture size, turning off Overscan, etc. did nothing. Furthermore, no other game seems to be having this problem, just FFXIV. I opted to edit my HUD my moving things around and resizing them, but now my screen just feels cluttered and still awkwardly zoomed-in. How do I actually fix this?

Curiously, I have been noticing a similar issue with the PS4 version – though it seems to be common across many games (not sure if everything) and not just in FFXIV.

I've tried to adjust the screen size in the PS4 settings but it won't let me make the picture any smaller than it currently is, and on the settings menu it seems to be correct.

Definitely something funny going on, as the water mark is placed correctly in the screen shot. I've recently seen something like this happen in another cross platform game with the light maps, it was directly linked to resolution scaling used by Xbox that had been recently implemented on all platforms.

Please try the following suggestions:

1) Perform the most recent system update and then try a version update for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.

PlayStation®5: The update can be performed from the home menu by selecting
[Settings] → [System] → [System Software] → [System Software Update]

2) If the installed data has been corrupted, the issue may be resolved by re-installing the game.

3) Reinitialize the console to factory defaults under Settings > System > System Software > Reset Options > Reset Your Console > Reset

Should the issue persist, it may be related to the backwards compatibility feature of Playstation 4 to Playstation 5 or a display setting within the console itself. We advise contacting Sony Support for further assistance.

So could this indicate this is some kind of bug within the game itself, or an issue with the console?

So none of these options worked. Thank you for the reply, but it looks like I'll have to contact both Sony and SE support later.

for PS3/PS4, I had to adjust settings on my TV to make it work.
But if your on the same TV as the one using the PS4, then thats quite odd. I can only then assume its a setting on the PS5 (i know PS4 has a setting to adjust stuff like that, but i dont own PS5, so i know nothing about its options)

Not to resurrect a dead thread but did you ever find a solution? I upgraded to a ps5 just a few days ahead of EW and am having this same problem.
