UI Display Name Customization Suggestion

I've been playing around with the customization options this weekend and something stood out to me: there's no customization option to change the color of the display name of KOed / dead player characters. The recent live letter mentioned that the display system is being updated to continue to show the HP bar when it's empty to make it more noticeable when there's a random dead body in the world (so other players can notice and help out with a rez,) but it would help even more and make it more noticeable if there was an option to change the color of the display name to be something other than that shade of grey that blends into the background and is easy to miss.

Additionally, it would also be really useful to be able to set different color options based on party role or job of the player character to better prioritize rez order during events of mass casualties. It might also be helpful to be able to set additional colors based on party or alliance members.

Yeah, this has always felt weird to me. Friends are automatically flagged with a unique colour but FC mates aren't. It would be nice to have that changed even if it's something you have to enable to activate yourself. Maybe it's just me but I hate missing FC mates when I randomly run across them in the world because they're not flagged any differently than other random people.

I'm perhaps remembering wrong because the only raid I have done was Crystal Tower a month or so ago, but I can foggily remember that my party and alliance members had different colours (party was blue, alliance had been green I think?) I hadn't touched customisation at that time so it couldn't have been a setting I turned on.

+1/agree. FC members makes sense, and being able to choose something like hot pink for a dead body so it sticks out really well seems like a no brainer.

Sounds like a good idea to me! Plus, maybe change the icon next to their name as well, to indicate their fallen status?

As long as all the colours are not forced on anyone - by that I mean people can assign their own colours in order to assist with things like colour blindness and other visual impairments.
