If everyone in the party has at least 1 lvl 80 job and are not sprouts always w2w pull. (with some exceptions such as Berdam's Mettle or the first pull oh Mt. Gulg, those pulls should only be attempted with pro healers) If the DPS run ahead and pull more so be it, there's not enough time in the day to be playing these petty games with ff14 ethics committee nonsense, maybe the tank should learn to sprint or the healer should stop cure botting. I'm not going to stop healing a DPS just to satisfy the ego of these power trip tanks, they are not leaders, they are cogs in a machine. WHM and 2 competent DPS is more than enough to survive most pulls without a tank with bruised pride.
If they are a sprout but are geared, then they should be warned that big pulls are inc., you are never going to learn to swim if you keep relaxing in the hot tub. If the sprouts are undergeared then stick to double pulls. IF a DPS runs ahead and pulls I don't get upset I simply say "Yo, I know we all want to pull big, trust me I feel your pain but the tank is made of paper, we need to be careful." Other than those sprout situations typing in this game is dangerous to my account's health, so I'm going to default to w2w pulls if I see no sprouts and communicate with Rescue not words, if you want to have a casual stroll through DF, use explorer mode, don't waste our times with small pulls.
Me, on Aether, experiencing the absolute nicest community I ever have in an online space - Aether being host to Faerie which is the go-to server for LGBT folks to congregate and where LGBT, POC etc folks regularly discuss issues pertaining to racism, sexism and homophobia:
