Im not ready for Endwalker

I haven't played since Heavensward.
I have a lot of Stormblood unlockables like Omega undone and have hardly begun Shadowbringers MSQ. Plus I skipped a lot of Realm Reborn stuff as well.

Anyone else know this feeling? It'll probably be months before I do Endwalker. I guess I can still swap to Viera.

Just do the things at your own pace. Personally, I still have yet to try and clear any Ultimates, BA, DRS, and some other stuff, but I'm just taking my time until EW comes out. Don't worry that you haven't done everything yet, it's not going anywhere, for the most part.

You can do the Shadowbringers MSQ in few days if you watch cut scenes, or over 2 weeks if you do sidequests. The patches have a lot of lengthy cut scenes but should also not take that long.

The raids like alex, omega and the ones from shadowbringers should only take a day each.

You can skip the optional dungeons, trials and alliance raids and do them later without much problem. Most optional dungeons involve you revisiting a dungeon you already did with some differences and trials don't need to happen right away to fit with the lore.

Alliances raids hardly relate to the main story so that even if you do it years later, they would probably still make sense. The exceptions are Crystal Tower (which you will understand why now) and the ones from Stormblood because a few references won't make sense once the events of Endwalker start.

You only need to do what you want to do and enjoy doing.

The only thing that progresses you is of course the MSQ - everything else is for want of a better word - filler.

If you like the story then you do everything at your own pace.
If you like the content and not the story you skip everything.

If you like both that's pretty tough shit.

It took me more than 200 hours gameplay for me to finish heavenward, i enjoy it so much and another 200 hours until i finish shadowbringer, i blame golden saucer for 50% of them especially triple triad card

I mean most of it I do enjoy which is the thing. I realize the game is less endgame focused than WoW which is a good thing in my opinion.

For those people that reached the endgame ages ago they are probably bored and ready. For new and returning players Endwalker seems like something in the far distance, there is a lot of other stuff that I want to do first.

If I were in your situation, I would be happy actually. I do endgame content, but still prioritize story and immersion more. Nothing is more immersion breaking than seeing 100+ people in a place where supposedly only us (the WoL and scions) can reach. That's why I plan to wait for a week or so before starting EW, just like how I did during ShB. And if I had other stuffs to do while waiting, all more the better.

But that's just me.

If you go to System Configuration then Other you can reduce the character and object quantity to minimum. This helps a lot on release days and helps with the immersion too by not rendering beyond a dozen people next to you. It's still a small crowd but it's not 100.
