Fix the damn latency problem's SE

I never used to have issues with connection until recently!
One of the games updates took my connection from Excellent to poor overnight and its been poor ever since, I have the best net speed plan NZ offers which in the past has always been more than enough.

While i could play fine in most content, savages and extremes were out of the question due to the fact there is no room for error or lag, But today? Suddenly freeze ups every few seconds, trying to Chocobo race has become impossible due to my character stopping moving, then jumping forward missing items, hitting traps I would of avoided were I in control, and of course losing as a result of the freezes.

Speed tests show my connection is fine, I can play other MMOs fine (With perfect connections unlike XIV)

Seriously, this MMO has the most expensive Sub of ANY MMO and you guys cant provide even basic stability anymore?

All the money in the world can't spawn the parts needed to upgrade the servers from thin air, unfortunately.

Yeah, This however has been going on long before the WoW influx though, It was a game update that ruined connections for myself a lot of others.

Sometimes its out of developer's control. You need to check the news for undersea cables too. Recently, there are a lot of seismic activities. Nature and bad weather can damage cables. It will cause internet traffic congestion.

I would test other games or server from somewhere else to confirm the issue.

Sometimes congestion can cause this - especially if it's impacting an entire data center since you have inter-world travel to account as well. Also, take into account the possibility of ISP throttling, which tends to be a favorite of US ISPs since they've done it to me a few times in the past couple months. If it's not that, then perhaps check your graphics settings and see what you're running on. Sometimes the game will lag pretty bad if you're trying to run on a potato.

Well, plus its going across the pacific, and ISPs love to not do efficient routing or spend money repairing or upgrading their systems.

I haven't noticed any issues on the NA datacenters.

Same here. Nothing happening to Behemoth. Heard Hyperion blew up a while ago? So idk if they had to do some emergency work on servers on that side to stabilize it.

What i find funny is the chat continues to update while the instance hangs up in lag at the worse times. Its clearly a SE server issue. If i can hear all about what sprouts think about chicken sandwiches via NN but can't dodge a landslide in titan ex its not an undersea cable issue.

It's probably at your end. Big Telcos totally SUCK the kumara when it comes to net.

I'm on 2degrees with the full speed fibre, never get excellent but is always decent.

Also you will never get great speed in other MMOs unless they have servers in Aussie.
