    Frequent game crash and error message on launcher

    Frequently, (but inconsistently) I the game keeps crashing once I press the play button on the launcher. An error message pops up that is mostly in japanese (which I cannot read) with a bunch of numbers which look like error codes. This requires me to restart the launcher and log in again. I have taken a screen shot of the error message which I will provide to a admin if requested.

    Game crash from launcher

    Windows 10
    Error message is in japanese...not sure I can even type it here. (is there some place I can attach a picture of it?)
    wired connection
    error occurs most frequently on first time launching since booting up the game. It does not happen 100% of the time. Typically I am able to play within 2-3 attempts to launch.
    No other programs running.

    We apologize for any inconvenience experienced when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV. Can you please type out the error/number code (Ex: 16a) you may be seeing when launching the game?

    Have you attempted to delete the patch folder from the device?
    (My Documents > My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV > Downloads > Delete patch folder)

    Additionally, please try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.
