Sounds like a crutch imo, if you need the smaller hitbox or to reduce the visual clutter of having party members bigger than a breadbox you might invest in heightening your raid awareness instead
Hitbox is the same on all races as far as I know, and it's pretty small. Not sure if Sfia is being serious, semi-serious or joking, but it seems like it's more about quick visual identification and aid than anything. Not gonna make me want to be one at any rate, I already play a Tarutaru in FFXI anyway.
Fun fact, a friend of mine changed from Lalafell to Roegadyn cause I complained once I couldn't see him inside one of the towers during Grand Octet and I went to the same one as him. I meant it as a joke, it was just my mistake for not paying attention and not adjusting quicker, but he took the joke further. But it actually helped me see him better... lol.

I'll go lalafel once in a blue moon for like a week. My raid team realized mid raid they couldn't see me and it started messing up our prog since I was OT lol. That asides, I can't stand how low to the ground lalafel's camera is. It makes things so awkward for me.Hitbox is the same on all races as far as I know, and it's pretty small. I'm suddenly reminded of all those instances when people couldn't figure out how I didn't get hit by something by finding and standing in the tiny like 1 pixel in size gap in the AoE markers and just telling them "I'm a skinny cat. If I fits, I sits" :P

Yeah mechanically speaking your actual hitbox is only a single pixel at the very center of your character's targeting ring, so if you have a smaller character it's easy to identify where the center of said circle is. I guess lalafell is an option for people who need the extra help with that

Honestly, I never know it is that small.Yeah mechanically speaking your actual hitbox is only a single pixel at the very center of your character's targeting ring, so if you have a smaller character it's easy to identify where the center of said circle is. I always wonder why I did not get hit by the AOE when one my of leg was still inside the marker. Now the mystery solved
It's all a matter of finding that 1 pixel that didn't light up and stand in it to dodge AoE's. Easier to find when character is small and thin >.>

Naturally we find the source of the most dark and heinous of propaganda spread by the kickers of shins...

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
