I can't think of what in 5 and 6 would be "Gagazet" or "the Sacred Mountain", even by another name.
North Mountain and Narsha, respectively, seem the closest, thematically, but they're still far from close.
Like...id LOVE a Mt Gagazet Themed Dungeon. But maybe not EXACTLY Mt Gagazet itself.
Maybe this idea can still be salvaged, but just certain things should be changed and maybe make original 1-offs. I think the Idea of a Mt Gagazet Parody/Reference wouldnt be a BAD idea overall. Could even be a Home to a Clan of The Lost
I don't honestly see what the issue would be with a namedrop, either, though. It'd be nothing new for XIV zones.Like...id LOVE a Mt Gagazet Themed Dungeon. But maybe not EXACTLY Mt Gagazet itself.

But, same, in that I'd really like to see this vibe/theme somewhere.
Its not he Name Drop in itself, Id just like More then the name alone if they are gonna use it. Like how
The Ivalice Raids had Viera, (well...just Fran) Seeq and bangaa in it. As well as some of the Espers.
So, I just think it would be Neat if a Spira-area had Spira Character/Races in it such as Real Ronso. Heck even Kimahri or a look-alike. Throw in an Aeon. Just Id like more then just the name alone, and think these elements referencing FFX would just be cool.

Ahhh, I understand now. Yes, I would likewise appreciate more context and setup. If it just ended up a sad and snowy version of... what was that Stormblood dungeon that ended with the Monkey King?... I'd be disappointed, too. It was as impactful as it was in FFX largely because of the overarching summoner quest and the local tribes. Without such, it really is just a melancholic snow dungeon.

To use an FFX area & name, and use nothing FFX related would just be a real letdown ;(
OH and the Dungeon your thinking about is - The Swallow's Compass
Honestly I *personally* am not saying no. I'm all for a Mt Gagazet-esque dungeon. But given OPs reactions in other threads, their post history, and their general inaccuracies when discussing lore, classes, jobs etc... it's fair to say that they may actually expect that if SE were to release a Mt Gagazet dungeon, that it adhere mostly to their wishes and desires for said dungeon.Sometimes the effort people put into saying no, but not to think of ways to say ... better construct the idea (or just not to give input at all), has both surprised, disappointed, and now just been like "ah yes.. there that is". Reminds me of other events like with summoner, beast tribes, and even hilariously reaper where before the job was titled reaper I was (and others) being told such dark job ideas were impossible and that reaper was an impossible idea lol.
Just sometimes, sometimes...![]()
I doubt OP, and OP can correct me if wrong, thought SE was going to LITERALLY 1:1 take their ideas, but more however that OP just wanted a space as the title of the thread suggests (FFX mt.) and wanted to encourage and inspire it. I think it would be unreasonable to ever expect SE to take an idea 1:1 for any reason. I've never assumed they would, but I do imagine we inspire them and elucidate our desires by communicating out ideas. BUT if SE was like "ah man those damn laywers otherwise I'd use Shougun's suggestion".. just for the weird weird sake that ever happened, just want to say I don't want credit nor compensation for any idea suggested in the forums. Yay I lawyered myself out. Lol.
It's the difference between speculation (SE will have "X" as a class, maybe...) and demands (I want SE to have "X" class). I'd even go so far as to say it's the difference between desire and demands (I wish SE had "X" class vs. SE should implement *MY* carefully constructed ideas on "X" class).
So it's not me saying "No," moreso me saying "SE can't implement the dungeon in the specifications you've outlined, because there'd be a lot legal hoops they'd need to jump through. So don't expect it to be exactly as you want, or even resembling certain ideas of what you want."
