Could we have an option to turn off LB3 visual effects?

To my knowledge there is nothing to limit the visual effect of the lbs, either you have everything or you have nothing. But it surprises me to see people wanting to lower the visual for the rdm. The lb 3 mage is rarely launched, have prioritizes especially the cac.

There is always at least one RDM using LB3 in every 24 man I do, and 90% of the time they always do it at the worst time. The worst was the final boss of breach while orbs were up along with the line aoes. No one could see, everyone died. RDM LB3 could use a tone down, none of the other LB3s are anywhere near as blinding.

Should be included in the option to hide other peoples spell effects. Same with SMN pets like Bahamut and Phoenix IMO.

I am ok with them, as long as they don't cover mechanics graphics completely.

I believe it's the red mage one, makes the floor completely white making it impossible to see anything.

How would you even prove it was done with the intent to troll? “Oops sorry fat fingered my LB.”

Not saying it does not happen, but I just wonder how would a GM even prove it to be ban someone for it. Part of me also does wonder do people think beyond they should ban people for x, or is it less about thinking about it and more so well it is a GM problem.

Like with anything else, if someone keeps getting reports against them, odds are they're trolling. I've seen quite a few 24 mans where LB3 is sat on for a good 3+ minutes until a specific mech that needs to be dodged, then out comes the RDM LB3. On a single boss, with melee in the party.

Is there a rule against using LB? If melee was meant to use the LB why didn't they? Can I report them for not using a ability? Etc . . . I do not think a GM would want to go down that route of doling out punishment for using an ability.

I mean I think it falls in the same realm as rescue sure allegedly people have been punished for their use but broadly speaking I am sure those that punt punished are so few are far in between and also prob say something afterwards that incriminated them.

I just do not see SE punishing players without hard evidence not just a pattern. Their history also supports this stance.
