Old Relic Weapons Glamour Dresser

Does it bother anyone else that the old relic weapons you have to still farm for the replicas just to put them in the glamour dresser? I realized this when I couldn't put in my Thyrus Zenith or Hyperconductive Majestas into the glamour dresser. They are literally just glamour at this point.

I don't get why the base weapon can't just be able to go into the dresser when you get it at least for the older out of date relic weapons (talking ARR through SB at this point of the post). Many people usually plan just to get it to a certain stage & don't really want to go beyond it. I can understand not doing it for the current expansions tier but I think at this point we should be able to have this, especially since you have to get the next stage of the weapon before getting the replica.

Maybe this is just me but I'm wondering if anyone else feels this way. I feel like this would just be a nice quality of life change that many people didn't think we needed.

We cannot put relics in the dresser.
That's the issue.

That does seem odd to me that they never allowed this. Some people like to get their relics to a certain point and go no further. The ability to add them to the glamour dresser probably should be a thing.

I thought that weird as well, I wanted to put my old Lux weapons I had finished into the dresser but game said nope. At least you can glamour using it, unlike other games.

Each relic can have varying stats, so they made it so none of them can be put in the dresser, since every possibility of stat could be considered a different item than the next. You have to finish the relic and then buy the replicas to do that.

I plan to do only one relic for each expansion so it's OK for me.

The idea to scrap them and get a raplica doesn't sit well with me.. but that's how Rowena makes money out of it I guess.

The glamour dresser strips all information from the item except for the dye in order to be stored. That means materia, spiritbinding, condition, glamour, etc. Since finished relic weapons tend to have customizable stats, they cannot be put into the glamour dresser.

You should be able to put in previous stages that don't have customized stats... at least, I was able to put mine in.

Ya I would see how you could do that but even the weapons that DON'T have the custom stats (like the Zenith from ARR & Hyperconductive) which you get before that step you can't put them in the dresser (as shown in the screenshot). That's mainly what I'm talking about, is the steps in between the 1st & last that can't go in until you finish the step after the one you wanted just for the replica when again they don't have any meaning besides glamour anymore.

Probably it's easier to just have a blanket rule of "no relics" than to leave people wondering why some stages do but others don't.
