    Well, despite all of this, I like Blue Mage for what it is.

    What I don't like about the job is actually a detail that you can't tackle the Blue Mage Log objectives on your own because you don't get credit for those by choosing Unrestricted Party/Level Sync to enter the instances solo with Basic Instinct.

    And also the fact that Blue Mages do not have a Deep Dungeon solo scoreboards with their own achievements (so it wouldn't interfere with the other jobs).

    If they do add Beastmaster as a limited job all I ask is that it and Blue Mage can do PotD/HoH/Eureka/Bozja. If they can do that, that is progress towards making both into real jobs.

    How would you make a new job work within the trinity or support the trinity?

    Beast Master and Enchanters and Green Mages are all interesting jobs and I understand why people would like to play them but it's very difficult making them fit into MMOs without offsetting balance or disappointing players.

    Charming creatures is nice, but controlling a creature with 5-10x's more hit points or damage than a player character often leads to imbalance.

    Damage over Time classes are nice, but people try to race through content today, look at the Savage Raids where people already look for specific jobs because they can do faster burst dps.

    If someone could take the time to design their vision of any of these jobs, with level by level skill ideas and theoretic damage, then I think they would have a good chance of persuading the developers.

    For charm jobs, do you get a "pet npc" with 1/5-1/10th it's normal hit points so it constantly dies?

    For beast masters, what kind of animals would you summon, and would they be restricted to certain zones or maps?

    For dot jobs, how do you prevent being excluded because you can't do as much burst damage?

    Jobs technically, since Blue Mage starts off as a job rather than a class. But they also have access to mechanics that other jobs that aren’t labeled as “limited” have: being able to choose your role, selecting from a subset of available actions, and a unique way of learning spells, amongst other things.

    Limited jobs also require heavier investment in maintaining, so if you have 2 limited jobs who require their own unique content that CANNOT participate in other forms of content built for every job minus limited ones, you run into the issue of having content sinks that take away from main dev time or just get neglected all together. As they are currently
    They're also largely a burden, they'd be better off making Puppeteer or Beastmaster into regular jobs so they only updates they need to do are balancing / tuning after the release, not devote resources to wholesale new mechanical experiences just for the job to be played.
    And yes I enjoy BLU Mage, but I would have preferred a new unlimited Job that I could use regularly in all sorts of content instead.

    They should take notes from Xenoblade 3's Soulhacker which is Blue Mage in all but name and not just give us spells but traits/passives and clear content or use this spell this many times to upgrade the spell or passive into a more powerful skill/trait.

    As well as add new spells/traits onto the existing A rank and S rank hunt monsters and make it worth delving into doing Extreme trials.

    And I do think it's time they let Blue Mages enter Deep Dungeons, Eureka(which is full of unique monsters that you defeat on each map), Bozja/Zadnor content for potentially more new acquisitions then gating them out of it. It is peculiar to me that the BiS gear for Blue Mage is in Eureka but Blue Mage itself can't earn it on their own you have to be a different class.

    The notion of a limited job is such a dumpster bin idea that shouldn't even exist. If you want a proper Blue Mage then you have it start out from nothing until it becomes this overpowered contender that you may as well be a walking raid boss in the overworld.

    Blue Mage is so one and done after you clear each Carnivale fight and it's pretty sad.

    Given the lack of news on their plans for Blue Mage I hope we jump from 70 to 90 but I think if we get anything at all it will be up to 80 and we will always be one xpac behind.

    The fun of Blue Mage in every FF it appears in is to defeat monsters and take their powers and make them your own They've made BLU very limited and half the spells achieve the same thing with similar effects and potencies it feels like they don't have a lot of creativity happening with creating new spells.

    The best use of BLU is helping players farm FATEs quickly and doing some baller low level dungeon runs.
