It's hard to see the difference by yourself. When riding maps first came out, it was clearly evident to see the difference in ground speed in ARR zones (before flight was added) during S Rank hunts. When a mass of ppl were all beelining for the same exact point from the same aetheryte.

Nope, just worded badly! Taking 2 or 3 seconds less than without the increase to cover the same distance that 60 seconds without it would have covered

Riding time without 89 seconds

With 66 seconds. Thats what i got atleast.

ok. 30% faster. That makes sense. I did the maths wrong.

This. Basically:

Flying/diving speed > 2-star riding speed > 1-star riding speed > Non-upgraded riding speed

All you need to do is race someone without the speed boost and the difference is fairly clear.
