Trust system for Trials

The Trust AI is crap and would never be able to handle trials. I have given up on it many times as a DPS as the healer AI was just not healing, the DPS AI was not doing max damage and I failed so many dungeons due to THEIR limitations.

Sounds more like something on your end. I leveled all of the jobs from 71-80 through trusts and didn't have any issues completing the dungeons.

The AI may prioritize you for healing but it will not heal you in the middle of a mechanic. The intention is to teach players to dodge and handle them properly. DPS AI adjusts its damage to compensate or slow down depending on the player's damage in order to complete the dungeon in 30 minutes.

Really? Have they changed this recently - I've not got to doing trusts again but recall that some dungeons I simply failed to get them to output enough DPS despite me being in decent gear (for the time).

Mind you with the influx of players having to even think about trusts now is a non-starter.

I would rather spend 110 minutes doing a trial and clearing it with Trusts then any party whatsoever. I play this because it's a final fantasy game, not a crappy mmo.
The more I can do solo the better.

you are aware that by nature... mmos are designed to be played with other REAL people?

not to put too fine a point on it, but maybe single player games would be more to your preferences? they are, after all.. essentially you and a "trust"

One consider seeing a therapist to help you develop the skills necessary to deal with others.

Then you and the op can play a single player FF. MMO’s are the content made between dealing with other RL players. If you just plan on not contributing and reading the story there’s YouTube/Twitch etc.

Mostly sounds like you both may be underperforming and as such called out but this will RARELY happen in dungeon and especially NM trials. If you find yourself getting anxious just to be in a group of people playing the same game for the same goal then an MMO really isn’t for you.

Plenty of single player games and this MMO is more an MMO-lyte based off the game doing most the socializing for you be putting you into parties. Have a problem with that still it’s most def a “you” problem not a “them” problem

No idea why ppl are so hostile to this suggestion, especially if it's just for the Normal Story Mode Trials, which are already easy to begin with.

I'd draw the line at all optional trials and raids that don't impact MSQ advancement though, even if there is a normal/extreme/savage split. Optional content you can go out and engage with the public, mandatory content you can have a guide if you choose.

Dev time really. This is supposed to be a multi-player game and for the devs to be spending a bunch of time developing for some people to solo is a waste of resources that could be spent creating more content instead of making existing content soloable.

The only way I see this as a potential good thing is if they use the bots they would be making fill in party gaps so no roulette que is longer than 5 mins for any role. But then again we're talking bots and bots suck so yeah still not that good of a thing.
