Can I be Relm Arrowny?

Having enjoyed the whole music system especially composing compositions with bards, I would like to suggest a new enjoyable feature

Drawing

A few games already have systems in place like creating new emotes, creating Guild emblems, or even drawing contests ingame. Considering roleplaying is as popular as it is in FFXIV with theatre, bard concerts, venues, and so on, why not give artists a new opportunity? They could have fun in the game by showing off their skills, and it would be a wonderful creative outlet for the community

How would it work?

It wouldn't need to be very complicated. A brush and a simple color pallet should be enough.
My idea would be a blank canvas players could buy from an NPC that would become character bound once it has been used. The created painting could be hung in the players private home or FC house as a furniture item. Of course there are concerns for NSFW content, so since the drawing would be linked to the player who made it, I believe it would be easy to report the drawing and the player should that problem arise. That should be enough to prevent it from happening for the most part. Any further suggestions for this issue is welcome

Expanding further on the idea of the drawings being linked to a player's account, there should be a limit of portraits in active use, to prevent too much strain on the the game's servers. I have no idea how to measure the amount of portraits each player should have without causing too much stress on the system. If possible players should be able to redraw their portraits over and over

It's a great feature to have. But think about the efforts required and the potential audience, I don't think the devs would do it?

Unfortunately, back in the Beta Test something like this was asked and the development team basically replied why it could not be possible (specifically, allowing players to make their own FC logo artwork and use that instead of the image templates provided), in that human nature being what it is, someone would inevitably find it funny to upload something sexually explicit or offensive, which would require SE to have to police such content, eating into development time and resources, which they just do not have.

Sadly, speaking as an artist myself I would love to have such a feature, but given what they said during the Beta, it's pretty clear they're standing firm on this (instead, this is kind of why they run art/design contests outside of the game, as it's easier to screen art submitted to ensure it complies with the Terms of Service - after all, the BRD's Performance function has strict terms surrounding it's use regarding copyright that SE enforces, and that cannot be recorded by default, so allowing players to make their own artwork for display in a house and all the extra scrutiny that would require would be just be even more restrictive by necessity, and thus too difficult for SE to have to deal with I'm afraid.

They also don't have the time or resources to vet every players name. They have to use a report system to stay on top of culling inappropriate material.
Would this be so different?
Other games (like Mario Kart 7 and Animal Crossing) that let you make your own pictures do something similar, so we know it's possible and such a system works in other contexts...

There's a great feature like this in the Armored Core games where you can draw your own logo pixel by pixel if you have the patience. The community has come up with some really cool stuff, but obviously the AC fanbase is a lot smaller and less, uh... typical.

Considering the recent influx of new players and the increase of popularity RP has gained, SE incoming/resources has changed a lot and the potential audience for this feature maybe has changed as well. My major issue with this would be how to avoid NSFW flood. Considering other games as PSO2 that had a huge influx of NSFW in stickers, that would probably be a thing in FFXIV.
That feature works in some games, as ItMe said. But either of them are MMOs.
I do not have too much knowledge in how much effort it would need to implement this feature, that's why I created this topic. People can discuss about it and give more suggestions, or bring some ideas from other games that were successful.
