Transfer Legacy Tattoo to Actual Main Character.

So, I played 1.0 enough to get my character data transferred to 2.0 and get a Legacy Tattoo. Only problem with that is that when 2.0 launched there was no server transfer option and you didn't get to pick what server your transferred 1.0 character was sent to. Mine got sent to Balmung, which originally was on a completely different Data Center to where I actually wanted to play, which was Diabolos on the Primal DC (now both have been moved to Crystal DC). So I created a new character on Diabolos, which is my one and only main.

I never had any intention of playing on the server they put my character data on, but I want my Legacy Tattoo on the actual character that I have been playing since 2.0 Beta/Early Release. This should be a relatively simple thing to do, like a check box in the character data that just needs to be ticked and boom, deserving Legacy Tattoo shows up next time you log in. Hell I don't even need my Legacy Chocobo, unless those two are just tied together in the character data. I just want my tattoo to show up on the character I actually play.

I sent a support ticket and got a fairly prompt answer saying this is not a service that the Game Masters can do. Well, who can do it? It should be easy as heck to fix. Please fix this.

Unfortunately, the Legacy mark is working as it's meant to, that is, it's whole purpose is to identify that character was made in 1.0, not identify you as a 1.0 player (Yoshi stated that back before ARR, that "he would ensure that there would be some way of identifying 1.0 characters in the new game", paraphrased), so that means it's not transferable to a new character. So it's working as intended I'm afraid.

Incidentally I'm pretty certain there is a flag in the character data based on a timestamp that determines if the Legacy mark is unlocked or not, as my 1.0 character appearence data I saved in 1.0 and loaded into the ARR Benchmark program has the Legacy mark visible, which has no connection to the server data, so it must be timestamped/flagged somewhere in the appearence data as "this character was created in 1.0".

It almost certainly then cross-references this data with the actual character data on the server however, so you couldn't load this data as a new character appearence and hope to have the Legacy mark appear sadly, it would only appear on an existing 1.0 character that is transferred into ARR.

Also way back in the Beta test SE did say that 1.0 characters on Legacy servers would be allowed to transfer to 'new' servers eventually, they just wanted to give the new ARR servers time to establish their economies without the risk of 1.0 players dominating them at the start, which they indeed did (as I recall it was about six to twelve months after ARR's launch that happened).

That's all well and fine that they would "eventually" let characters move servers, and sure they eventually added server transfers to the game. Though that doesn't really help when your friends aren't playing on the server you get sent to, nor do you even want to play on that server. I was dead set on playing on Diabolos, still do to this day. I'm not going to level that character as an alt, because alts are pointless imo.

I'm merely asking them to put it on my character that I actually play on, so that I can delete the character I don't even use. It really should not be a hard thing to do, period.

It might not be a task the GMs have the tools to perform, and it is not a service SE provides. So it might not be just hard, but impossible to do for the support personnel, without some developer first writing some tool to move around the legacy marker - and they are unlikely to do that since it is not supposed to be moved between characters.
