You think they're going to fix the male Viera posture?

As much as I love the fact that boy buns are finally getting added, that slouch makes a lot of armor look weird. Quite frankly it just looks a little strange, itself. If they had to copy a model to keep costs down, it would have been nice to copy Au Ra or Elezen (minus the neck).

"Change" would be a more appropriate word for what you're asking for.

I don't mind the posture that much, but I did notice the odd warping it does on some armor. I assume they'll fix that rather than adjust their posture.

That said, I tend to use a /cpose anyway for most races, as a lot of the default standing postures are weird (male miqo'te hands says hello). So I'm more interested in seeing what's on offer in that category than I am seeing them 'fix' a posture that doesn't inherently have anything wrong with it.

The weird thing is that I don't think they had to copy the Miqo'te slouch even if borrowing the model. Hrothgar are derived from Roegadyn but have a different posture.

I think Miqo'te is the best pick in terms of them inheriting the emotes and hempen gear, but I would have liked to see the pose altered.

The male Viera posture does bother me slightly since the gear just doesn't look good in the default stance. Hopefully they'll have some nice /cposes; but as far as changing their default stance less than two months away from Endwalker..? No. Not gonna happen, it's already getting closer and closer to release and they're likely focusing on other things as well as working on the female Hrothgar. The only thing I'm curious about though is if the male Viera are going to be able to get access to the same modern aethstetics hairstyles like female Viera. If so, that'll be cool.

Personally I don’t see the posture as that much of an issue & still think they look great. Hopefully SE find time to change it to the player base’s liking because I have noticed quite a few opinions the same as yours.

I really hope so… I’ve been stocking up on modern aesthetics because there’s some that I think would look really lovely on my viera.

Yeah, no more halfassed races please!! My alt will be male viera so I really hope we get them.

As a Roe who has had to deal with ill fitting gear (they just looked weirdly stretched at times for certain pieces of gear) such as necklaces sinking beneath my character's skin depending on which cpose I use, I wouldn't hold your breath, i enjoy the big burly shirtless himbo look but a chunk of the reason for it is that a good amount of the gear (in my view) that i would like to wear just looks off, for example certain boots or pants can shrink the legs or feet weirdly and make everything look badly proportioned (I wish there was a All Jobs version of the 4.0 Filibuster boots for all classes for example).

If they're commited to the slouch I'd rather not one that warps gear so much, but I don't see them changing it so close to the expansion (might even come with a dose of "be thankful we're making them in the first place!"). My main concern is: can I use my Ramza hairstyle as a bunboy? And will I ever get to use veils, turbans (c'mon Yoshi, you have turban-wearing rabbits on the moon), and the RDM hat?

Neither are dealbreakers for turning into a male Viera come EW, but would still be VERY nice to have.
