Traditional Samurai Armor Please

Hello All,

I like many of us really love the Samurai job in this game. Thank you devs for making this such a fun melee job to play. There's almost a poetry to its animations that I love watching. I also really appreciate the aesthetic they went for with this job. We have had some amazing looks for this job.

To help add to the enjoyment, can we please get some more traditional Samurai Armor options in the game? The Deltascape armor is very nice and a great start. Just a quick google search shows sooooo many really cool looks that Samurai have had in various forms of media. It would be great to have more representations of these in the game.

This is not a complaint and just a request to add more awesomeness to a job that is already amazing and beautiful to play.

They went with the more Ronin style of Samurai with ffxiv as opposed to the more medieval version you saw in FFXI. Mostly so it can share gear with Monk and not look completely out of place.

I agree, though. I'd love to see some of the old FFXI AF style armor back. The closest we probably have is the Genji set from Deltascape (Savage if you want it dyeable).

It's not a glamour I desire myself, but I can definitely understand the demand for it. They could release a glamour set on mogstation, but that would be available to all jobs. Probably not the best option, but an option nonetheless. They could make it an AF set, but I don't see them ever going that direction. I think if there was a big enough demand for it, they would probably eventually do it.

Tho, I think the SAM we have is aesthetically like it is for reason.

---!! Don't quote me on this please, it's been years since I think I aw SAM aesthetics being commented on, and maybe why it ended up becoming DPS rather than TANK as some people anticipated.

most the genji looks terrible to me
ninja and Drg chest piece are cool but everything else is incredibly bulky and awkward looking on most characters
really we just need some stuff like in FF11 slender,fits well and looks clean on the characters.

What's funny is that they have the FFXI Sam AF set in the game... its just a house decoration instead of actual gear.

During SB's 24 mans they added FFTactics Samurai set... but sadly instead of the male version, which looked like actual armor, they added the female version... Looks cool, but not quite there.
