When can I create a new character on Siren again?

I already have characters on Siren. I don't understand not being allowed to create another. An account that doesn't have any characters on the server, sure, I get not allowing it. But I'm already on the server, I shouldn't be restricted from making another if I haven't used up all my slots.

So when can I make another character again?

Siren is currently a congested server.
It will open up again once server population has decreased enough (by people changing servers or quitting the game).
How long time that takes depends on your fellow players. Might take a couple of weeks. Might take half a year.

If you're looking for an exact date as to when, no one but the devs know the answer.

You can hope and pray that Monday night's maintenance might open up some Aether servers to new character creation but that's only if they feel world population balancing issues warrant it.

Just because you're already on there does not give you permission or an allowance to create more characters if the server is congested.

Space for character data is not reserved when you purchase the account; space is only used when you create the character. From the server perspective it doesn't matter if its a second character on an existing account or a new character on a new account, character data is character data. If the server is full, there's no room for a new character.

As others have said, when servers are not full. Monday is maintenance to try and increase the server capacity, it may free up enough space to open Siren for new characters or it may just ease instabilities. We won't know what will be available until they bring the servers back online and tell us what the capacity is.

It's amazing how completely polar opposite the community is for this game. In game, the community is friendly, compassionate, empathetic, and helpful. On the forums, it's toxic, snide, belittling, unfriendly, and unhelpful. Make sure you accuse me of being rude or mean or some nonsense, though. I came here wanting an informed answer and was greeted with replies treating me like I'm stupid.

It's not helpful to you because you're trying to make a character in a server where it won't allow it for the time being, because there's too many different characters saved onto the Aether Data Center's server data storage. People gave you the only answer that should make sense as to why you can't at this time.

Well, maybe it's because you're basically demanding that the developers give you special treatment and make an exception for you to have another alt in a DC that is locked down because of character data bloat, instead of having them do whatever to fix the servers so that people, such as friends and families and former guildmates, could join the fun with their choice of people in whatever server they want.

Aether is closed
they gave us no set date when it will open again which is why people have no clue when it will open again
which is why answers in this thread are vague they are not messing with you we just truly have no real idea when
it could be next patch it could be next year
we really don't know.

Aether was just updated to Standard, as of today's maintenance, so you should be able to create new characters once it's completed. Hopefully, this lasts a while.

Still have to wait until the wee hours of the morning for a chance to get a character in though.
