Chocobo GP Crossover Event?

So, as soon as I saw the new Chocobo GP announcement trailer, my immediate thought was "We gotta get some kind of cross-promo event in FFXIV!" It would be fun to get a chocobo racing themed event with some minions, a new mount (or maybe just rollerblades for our own chocobo?) and hopefully some sort of new content for chocobo racing (a new track, maybe?). I'm probably setting my sights too high on this one, but I think it would be neat!

I suppose it would go both ways: Chocobo GP would get something from FFXIV, and FFXIV would get something from Chocobo GP. I figured it would only make sense to tie it to racing, as it is a racing game after all.

I wouldn't mind costumes in game kind of like PSO2's rappy costumes that basically turn the character into a rappy. Except in the case of this game I'd want them to be job costumes that make you look like the cartoon like chocobo from chocobo's mystery dungeon that Alpha was based on. I recall the Chocobo racing game they did back on PS1 used that same cartoon art style.

This reveal on the Nintendo Direct was the last thing I expected to see. Think my exact thoughts were "no way, they didn't..." I'm so happy to have Chocobo Racing back. I loved the heck out of that game on the PS1. So yeah, count me in for a crossover event.
