People are always going to be salty about relocating to a plot they are trying for. They need to stop blaming the players and start blaming the game instead. Either way, just ignore those people. They'll get over it. It's not worth the energy getting upset over. You won, they lost. Such is life. If you are looking for friends, the PF probably isn't the best place. Try finding an FC or an LS that may have what you seek.
The community is mostly quiet right now because we're in a pre-expansion lull. Most people have done everything they wanted to do, so they're just chilling out until Endwalker.
Me too, I bought one in Goblet, but don't like the urban aesthetic of the place, so now I have a lovely plot in Lavender Bed where I love the forest theme much more. I feel sorry people who camped for the plot, but the same happened to me when I tried to get a plot when the demolition timer returned. So it is either them or me. Truly "early birds get the worms" situation.
However, having a house means you must continue to sub to keep it every two months, which proves tiring eventually if you run out of things to do in-game. I feel like my house is being held hostage by Square Enix.
I really wish for instanced housing now where I never worry about it going away. Or they can take apartments and add a 10-item balcony garden for apartment-owning players to have fun with their outdoor items. Honestly, I may even give up my house for such a permanent apartment.
Same thing happened to me when I moved my previous small to a Mist beach front back then. People were pissed about it, harassed me, because they were waiting there for HoUrS. I didn't respond and kept my house locked for a bit. Granted, I wanted a beach front property; Waited for long, long time (years since HW), so I took the chance when I saw one open.
Does it suck for people standing there? Yes. Does it make me a bad guy for relocating? No.
The blame lies with how the housing system is designed. It sucks for everyone involved, no matter who it is. People should not harass others just because of relocation.

Tell to kick rocks and stop standing on your virtual property. The shear entitlement that these people exhibit is astounding.
Eight (a guess) people were "salty" to you. Four million others don't care.
Please don't buy into the silly adage of "one bad apple spoils the bunch." It literally doesn't. Those particular people acted "salty" towards you. That says nothing about the community in general.
The next time you login, if you head to Mist and more than 50% of the people on the server are standing there, waiting just for you so they can be "salty," then you can come back here and I will stand corrected. Until then, everything is all good, just move on.
One idiot that cuts you off on the freeway doesn't automatically make everyone else a bad human. Shoot, even here in LA when you might get cut off three or four times if you're driving any reasonable distance on the freeway, 125,000 cars pass or get passed between idiots that cut me off. I don't want to disparage the rest of the decent people, because they outnumber the "salty" ones by far. That's a lot of good people. Or, at worst, indifferent people.
Judge the individual(s) on their own. By and large the community is positive, or at worst, neutral. Funny, that's exactly the same as real life. Go figure.

I mean people will always be salty when it comes to relocating, you legit just shattered all their dreams and hopes in an instant. What shocks me is you seemed shocked that people got salty?I had a home in the goblet for 4 months,..i really want to swap out, so i did. I found a plot in the mist, but everyone there started getting super salty to me after i relocated. I actually just logged out. I told them before i logged that is what a lot of people do, buy a plot in goblet and wait to relocate to a better spot, but it didnt really ease the situation
on top of that, it seems like the community as a whole has gotten a bit saltier/quieter. I'm hoping it resolves at endwalker otherwise that might be my last expansion..
I do not agree with it, but housing is a sore subject for many. It is what it is, live and let live you got the plot enjoy it and ignore the rest.
I never had this issue personally when I relocated from the Goblet to the Lavender Beds. Everyone just filed out quietly. Really people should be expecting a relocation, especially to anywhere other than the Goblet. When my new neighbor got their house I was coincidentally there as they won it, and welcomed them in. Had a good interaction, haven't seen them since. Actually haven't seen anyone in my ward for awhile, like not even standing at a marketboard or anything. Same houses all around though, so they are probably doing the exact same thing I am and just visiting to enter the house, put up a few new decorations (or take some down), and leave.
When I first won my plot, I jokingly told people in chat to get off my property.![]()

I didn't mean that this is the only bad thing to happen to me in this game . I been around about 2 years now but I feel like it has gotten worse and idk if anyone else can feel it .Eight (a guess) people were "salty" to you. Four million others don't care.
