Can I just check if others have gotten these?
Want to make sure it isnt a phishing attempt.
Thanks.

they send out these notices periodically about the OTP and the Emergency Removal Password, and they always do it whenever Apple puts out a new iPhone model, which ding ding, they are. Most people forget that the OTP is tied to a device and also forget that when they switch phones they have to deactivate it on the old phone first and then re-register on the new one.
Thats a great help, thank you.
Forgive my caution, but when in doubt..check![]()
Got one as well, just rechecked to see if it matches up with the one I have noted down and all is well.
Same
I didnt use the link in the email either, went there normally via the web and then checked the web address to see if it matched.
It did.
Seems legit, I got one on my 3 alts. At the same time. But as always, never click links if you have a smudge of suspicion of the sender.
It probably relates to that big official post they made last night:
Thread: Important Notice about Software Tokens and Software Authenticators (Sep. 21)
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...-%28Sep.-21%29
That is a good call by SE, iPhone 13 haha
I never changed mine, she’ll be right mate
It's to prevent the flurry of calls to the SE help desk where people don't save their emergency password, and remove the token before they upgrade their iPhone.
