I find the characters in this game really ugly/weird

Texture wise, perhaps. But the exaggerated proportions of the armor and characters was very not standard at the time. It was a design necessity for WC3 so to make each unit identifiable from the isometric perspective, and that design philosophy got carried over into WoW. Open world PvP was also really big early on in WoW so it was important to be able to identify who was who from a distance (race and therefore whether or not they were a friend or foe, which class they were and thus what abilities they could use and their weaknesses, etc).

Sort of, but the graphics still look dated which didn't age well like other games from that time. 2D graphics age much better than 3D, and both WC3 and WoW look dated. Of course, there are 3D games that aged well for like the Silent Hill games from the PS2 era and etc. Honestly, what they did with the graphics for Diablo 3 is beyond inexcusable. Diablo 1 and 2 looked very cool and hellish while Diablo 3 looks like I was playing old WoW graphics which really ruined the atmosphere of the game. I'm glad that Diablo 4's graphics looks cooler and different from it's predecessor. Overwatch's graphics looks clean and unique though which I really like.

Khloe is by far cuter then any Lala could ever be. So yes please, it would avoid players who just want to troll with Lalafels and entice people who want a "cute" race.

Had the most annoying encounter with Lalafels the other day. Three of them in the same trial kept making awful jokes and spamming the same emote non stop.. They couldnt even preform basic mechanics because they were to busy with not participating well in the trial. After two wipes I just left.

So yeah after playing as Hrothgar a while Im starting to realize being Elezen was kind of the biggest problem. That race is really off putting.

There are lots of complaints about the aesthetic, legitimate or not. Even Asmongold said he didn't find the game appealing.
I'm just surprised I got 9 pages talking about it.

I think that people who have characters I personally find weird looking and/or ugly have full 100% right to run with their characters and enjoy their characters and the game in peace.
My opinion is drop in the bucket. Why should it matter at all what I think??

as someone who played wow since its release i don't think FF 14 model are bad granted i also played this since 1.0 heck until wod the models was pretty meh then again there are some who swear the OG models so much better despite looking like 5 pixels in wow mostly the forsaken players heck if you go back and do the purge of stratholme and such and look at arthas his model did not age well

ps: if your wondering about my join date then i have several accounts including a FF 11 I played for 7 years I made a new one when a friend wanted to play when I re-bought the game on steam
