Came to the forum to post about this, glad someone at least thought to post a topic. It's very sad indeed, I won't soon forget how he brought Edmont to life so perfectly and confidently. Over time I like to think he has become something of a father figure to the WoL aswel, and I will miss the oppertunity to hear his voice again in the future dearly. 54 is not an age to lose someone, I wish his family all the best.

And I'm very glad a good amount of the playerbase has made note to mourn his passing, in our own special way. But I am dissapointed that by and large (with a handful of welcome exceptions), this sad event has barely been acknowledged by creators of XIV content. Not even the official XIV twitter account has made mention that the actor for one of their most universally liked characters has passed away. I just think it's a real shame.

the players, well, how many probably have even given much thought to the voice actors. as a group, I think they are probably overlooked by most players and their names even less well known unless they pop up in another game, and then look up the names because the voice is familiar
