That has all these trailers have ever done and shown, to just be a teaser showcase of some of the new actions for the jobs. These have never really been detailed breakdowns of job changes, nor responses to address community concerns.
and we got a new wave and new dark bubbles in our singular bubble...
6.0 DRK's just tryna be some edgy copy-pasta spongebob character.
Agreed. I don't know where the "people who want 4.x DRK used to complain about it" nonsense comes from - I always loved the 4.x design. I can accept it was an unpopular opinion, but try to dismiss people who legitimately liked that iteration as being hypocritical or wishy-washy is nonsense.I loved Stormblood DRK, like my own son! I still maintain the job was fine back then. Plunge was the anti-knock back needed. For all encounters designed, including ucob and uwu, DRK's lack of a raid-wide mitigation CD like dark missionary did not adversely affect a party's success. Still, arm's length and dark missionary are welcomed additions.
DRK wasn't meant to burst with delirium. It was meant to go fast! Don't you like Sonic games, old friend? Don't you like going fast? YOU GOTTA GO FAST!
Come on, every version of DRK is/was fun in its own way, but few people will say that they enjoying spamming Dark Arts like a madman because you drowned in MP back then and that it merely became a flat 140 potency buff besides Abyssal Drain lifesteal (AOEing in 4.0 was much more fun though).Agreed. My beef with 5.0 DRK is the lesser copy paste skills from WAR and the boredom of Souleater combo spam that makes up for 70% of your atacks
DRK in stormblood was my fave tank. I haven't been able to stand playing it much this expansion and it makes me really sad to see they are not improving the job in endwalker. I love the story, love the aesthetic but the gameplay is so freaking boring now compared to what it was. I only joined in Stormblood so I can't speak to HW state. But I enjoyed how busy it felt whereas now I feel like a snail with a budget fell cleave. Slowing and dumbing down of jobs is awful. There are plenty easier jobs for less mechanically capable players to play. SE already said they thought reaper would be popular so they have made it easy. Why did they need to take the difficulty away from every single job..
I'm not a DRK player, I'm a RDM player, I may not know the ins and ours of DRK, I know ya'all been wanting living dead to get reworked, but other then that, it seems like Square sent u DRK players a message in that job actions trailer video, that message is play Reaper.
When I was leveling in the first week of shb launch and did those quests where you play thancred etc I was like....oh no....then as I predicted it came to ew. I'm talking about 1 button combos. I was really hyped for ew and now I dont give a shit. This game is good story wise but gameplay and job wise it's so watered down its kind of ridiculous. Once you're done the story ALL of the content revolves around jobs and gameplay. For a game where the community tends to praise the devs for listening, they certainly seem to go out of their way to ignore tank complaints, especially drk. They had the bright idea of making it a role overly accessible to everyone which is horrible and immediately noticeable in alliance raids. It's so bad, even if I mark the zone for my alliance group I STILL have a pleb tank in my area without a clue. So instead of complaining about tanks I'm just gonna walk.
Because their core audience cares more about RP, glamour and hanging out at Limsa instead of learning their jobs properly, if there's anything still left to learn given how braindead most jobs have become.
I believe what many are missing isn't difficulty or complexity, rather how meaningful and impactful the jobs were. You had to keep some aspects in mind whereas now it's a single one way trajectory of pressing one button and done. Sad times man. I guess RDM and Samurai paved the way for this change.
Oh yeah, and they care alout about MUH-EMET SELCH and male bunnies, jokes off
I'm for sure going to try it out, but Reaper isn't a tank. Even if tanking is wayyyy simpler rn, I still enjoy it. It's the closest I'll get to a non-linear class, rather than stick to the same static rotation. Unless they just think "all drk wanna play an edgy class right?!?!?! make an edgy dps!!!!"I'm not a DRK player, I'm a RDM player, I may not know the ins and ours of DRK, I know ya'all been wanting living dead to get reworked, but other then that, it seems like Square sent u DRK players a message in that job actions trailer video, that message is play Reaper.
Living dead was a issue for the longest time and not been addressed but like how other said before dark is "fine"I'm not a DRK player, I'm a RDM player, I may not know the ins and ours of DRK, I know ya'all been wanting living dead to get reworked, but other then that, it seems like Square sent u DRK players a message in that job actions trailer video, that message is play Reaper.
for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
