Fatal DirectX Error troubleshooting and outcomes

Hi all, I returned to FFXIV in January and have been playing as often as possible. However, one thing plagues my ability to stay on consistently - the DREADED FATAL DIRECTX Error.

Here is a list of fixes that I've tried:
Factory Reset my computer
Uninstalled/Reinstalled FFXIV
Clean Install of my Video Drivers and Audio Drivers
Undervolted my GPU
Borderless -> Fullscreen
DirectX 9
Set the Audio settings to my headset instead of "Default"
Limit the frame rate through the Nvidia Control Panel to 60 and in game to unlimited.

Unfortunately, the error still happens though setting the headset as my audio for FFXIV seems to have allowed the game to run for the longest amount of time possible. It's incredibly inconsistent and impossible to recreate. It can happen any time, any where and now I dread doing anything that involves a group as I risk getting the error into a queue creating a horrible experience for the group members. FFXIV is installed on my C drive. I appreciate any help! Thank you <3 Below is my System Information.

I called support for my video card too and they're saying tons of people are having the same issue it's an issue SE needs to look into and fix so the video card drivers can update and fix it too. The longest play sessions I get is in full screen which is very inconvenient but it's completely random when it happens. Now I am getting the audio bug where it cuts out completely go figure one thing after the other haha I hope they fix this for us.

Same problem here - for me its either the unknown error or an unknown error + variable DX errors.

Ive tried everything you tried and more, but i crash regularly after only a couple minutes. At this point i can safely say ive done everything i can, but i just cannot play the game anymore.
It all started with Endwalker for me. I had the occasional crash every other week before, but they just became more and more frequent after the EW launch.
Very very frustrating!
I wish they'd specifically comment on this better sooner than later, spent the whole last week checking my hardware and software for possible problems - even contacted my GPU vendor.
But since FF is the only game crashing, i can safely say its not a fault on my end.

I haven't gotten any unknown errors, just the direct X error. It's so inconsistent, could be right when I log in, or hours in, none one day, then 5 errors in another. Mine were occurring in Shadowbringers, though they've definitely come back with a vengeance in the last week. It's good to know it's not a fault on our devices and seems to be an issue with FFXIV. I just wish it could be fixed so we can all enjoy FFXIV as much as we want! \o/

Exactly, i just really want to play...

But as long as we don't get a statement from the devs or the like that even acknowledges the problem i have little hope they're even working on a fix.
Can just hope for future updates to magically fix something by accident
