    PVP - Melee/Caster Balance

    I feel like it's kind of hilarious how I can face people in arena consistently and they as melee never once connect in melee range yet do 2,3,4, 5 times the damage every gcd. If I set up a cast combo on SMN for example and they aren't mentally challenged they can just use one pot and then I have nothing until phoenix. Ruin does nothing. I can set up reasonable stuff in a group setting? All BLM has is sleep combo and I feel like RDM is just "okay".
    I literally get hit by multiple melee abilities from 20 yds and behind corners and at impossible angles. The "advice" I get from other players is basically how to abuse the engine, I can't really make sense of the latency/lag festival that is FF14 PVP. If I do try to make sense of it, I realize it's not fun because it doesn't make sense. If you're melee, you should be doing most damage in melee range not just like, hitting me from 20-30 yds at a weird impossible angle because you've found a way to que things up. I think the cooperative PVE is good on here, but the PVP is really, really, really bad. Just my thoughts.

    You are not suppose to 1 v 1 anyone as caster in Feast or in Frontline so that pretty much makes you entire paragraph pointless.
    Again, frontline, all meeles have 10% damage bonus and 30% damage reduction, I don't understand what makes you think you can solo one (one that knows how to play)?

    The only Meele can attack from 20 yards is Dragoon and Ninja and one need long GCD and other one has clear animation for you to keep distance.
    Are you just standing there and play like WoW Warlock? (If so you are not in WoW)
    Most of melees' attack range will take into effect around 1 ~ 3 yards in order to resolve server latency issue, that is true (otherwise meeles will just getting kite to death)

    Nevertheless, only two meeles can attack from 20 yards and one rely on 2 long GCD and other one requires 1 GCD with an animation.
    Caster can also que up action like meele, so what are you complaining again?

    I mean not really, when I'm in arenas the complaint is that melee have unlimited damage for free while my casts do nothing.

    They stand like 30 yds away the entire game and the lagfest allows them to hit at virtually any angle
