It's bs as they just need extra servers for this. Thing is the players are willing to pay extra for this so why SE will ever give it for free. Good thing I don't craft but you crafters need to stop pay extra for this.

Technical debt sure is hitting hard huh.
The backend requires a heavy redesign, but alas no money, time nor human resources for
Easy solution to alleviate a lot of issues: Every piece of gear you get gets recorded and you can glamour into it even if you no longer have it. Besides crafter items the big elefant in the room are the "gear for leveling jobs in the future" and "gear that looks cool and want to keep it because its a pain to farm it again"
The glamour limitation is kinda bullshit same with the armory being able to store a very specific type of items alone
That "easy solution" is something they recently said they tried to implement but it wasn't possible due to... memory limitations, I think they said?
We keep hearing that crap since 2.0 they had plenty of time (and money, hell FF14 is SE cash cow right now but they keep investing on it the bare minimum to keep it afloat) to fix that by now, thats no excuse when we are about to enter 6.0 after over 8 years.
Was understandable on 2.0 and 3.0 due to their huge effort at fixing the 1.0 mess and preparing Heavensward, could be even reasonable on 4.0 but at this rate the game will die with "limitations" left and right. They cant even give us feet without those horrendous sandals for god's sake
The spagetthi code "get out of jail" card has long overstayed its welcome already, moreso when its on a subscription game with an online shop that gives them even more cash, but they wont do anything as people just nod their heads like mute Warriors of Light and accept everything SE says... After all the "easiest" solution is being "lol just buy more retainers"

I just wasn't a larger glamour dresser and more glamour plates. At the very least give us enough for each job. That way my Summoner doesn't have to look like my Black Mage.
I apologize if this sounds like a broken record (I've said it a lot on various posts...), but you can have a total of 8 characters on the same server for the base fee in the game. You have the option to make 7 mules that each have the 175 inventory slots. This alone should hold most of your non-bound stuff, and even exclusive furniture can be moved to mules as long as you have access to your FC house/a friend's house.
And if they didn't force me to move stuff through friend/fc I would. In fact it wasn't uncommon to have to check alt/mules for gear in 11. The fact is they block us from mailing and force us to work around it. Hell Aion at launch had a shared chest space so you didn't have to use mail.

They should just stop making so many different types of mats every expansion (I mean do we really need so many variations of iron etc). Also recycle the previous equipment i.e X piece of gear + X Items makes new gear.
Also as pointed out above let us move stuff between alts via mail. I mean it is still possible albeit slower ways so what's the point in not allowing it.
