No increase to inventory space

Fun Fact:

For the base price, you can have up to 8 characters, each with their own inventories and retainers. You might need to organize a way for them to trade (through a friend or using the FC chest), but anyone who seriously needs more space should be considering this.

A little odd to me, but admittedly I'm not fussed about my own personal inventory space insofar as our bags go. Chocobo saddlebag helped on that front when it comes to mobile carrying; plus I'm a neat freak and prefer having no more than two rows of space filled up in my bag if I can help it.

I feel like redirecting their focus to adding additional space where possible to retainer inventory, however, would still be good to pursue. They'll never be able to add so much that it negates the necessity of the additional purchased retainers, so I don't think it would be that much of a monetary loss by giving them another page or two of space. Frankly, retainer space and armory space are the bigger concerns over basic bag space.

I have 9 retainers... if they give one for free, should be added to the already max.
And with that much retainers, being a crafter, I still feel I need more space...

Even if SE were to give us a 3rd retainer, it's still a bad system when I have to go back and forth to retrieve stuff. If only the retainers were at least one menu and not all separate.

Not just that, retainers are a menu within a menu within a menu. Does my head in at times when I simply want to accept a party invite. Let me out!!!

I hope they at least offer a third retainer free or for a one time reasonable fee of something under $10. I am glad to hear hq mats will go. Will relieve some space for sure. I wonder if that means no more gather x amount of hq items quests?

If full packed inventory is an issue on server stress they should give bigger space on retainers and/or give people an extra retainer.

Its not my fault my inventory is full since I would store it on my retainer if I could. But alas I cant.

I don't mind if the inventory is receiving an increase in size, but also if not because me being a former WoW player with an inventory of 40*6 slots and a whole bank, so in total about 1200 slots, it still gets packed, so my advice on this is: Stop hoarding and sell shit you don't need after all the amount of gill you can have is unlimited.
The only thing I would like to see is a materials inventory, but again it's not anything I need. After all, I can still sell materials

Their general stance is "why make a specific inventory tab, when we can just give more inventory *period* and let people do with it what they please?"
