Can't get through the east shroud

Hello. I'm a new player and I'm trying to level my Grand Company rank by finishing my first hunting log. I'm trying to kill monsters in the East Shroud, but where I'm told to go by wiki and via videos, I can't get in because there are a bunch of branches in the way. I've tried to go around them but that doesn't work. They are called slyvan groans. I don't know why I can't get by the branches blocking the way, but its very frustrating.

You are probably not in the right place then, because there shouldn't be any branches blocking your way in.
Easiest way to reach the Sylvan Groans is probably from the Bramble Patch, through the tunnel south of the Sanctum of the Twelve. This may be where you are trying to get through, but if there are branches stopping you, then you are not at quite the right place.

I got stuck and confused in that place too, but it's not blocked off. There's a little tunnel to the left of the path going north that loops around under the path and leads you to the sylphs.
