    Parlor tricks and minor magiks

I've been wondering what kind of training it takes to do small parlor tricks like making things float, or any such small spells. Would that be something that only disciples of magiks would have an easy time with? or would it count as a trivial spell that even a new apprentice could learn?
Or spells such as the one Y'shtola uses to enchant a broom to clean a room. Or walking on water that Urianger euh... attempted. Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

My general reading on that sort of thing is that while that kind of spell probably isn't too hard to learn (doing it right may be another question), it's more a question of 'is it worth it'. Like, when you can learn how to shoot a fireball at an enemy (which is clearly pretty bread-and-butter magic), how much time are you reasonably going to spend learning and mastering the ability to magically hide snacks on your person? To say nothing of how worthwhile it is or isn't to write that down and document it.

But, that said, it's clearly at least modestly available and has its uses. I'd say that a fair amount of Ninja techniques especially amount to finding useful purpose for what a lay person would dismiss as 'parlor tricks'. Karasu would not function as a character if he weren't able to pull that stuff off.

I just did the moogle questline and they even have trouble wielding hammers that aren't specifically tailored for them, so I think the ones that do tricks are probably very magically versed or maybe just not lazy. I know that is not an example of easy tricks but I wanted to throw that out there. They seem like the kind who would know parlor tricks to earn kupo nuts. But it is not that way, apparently.
