    Endless 2002 errors

So I have had a recurring problem for months now where when I launch FFXIV I am unable to connect to the game owing to a 2002 lobby error, for which the only solution - every time - is to restart the modem, I don't have easy access to my modem (it’s a shared house modem), and doing so disrupts the internet usage of the entire household and irritates everyone I live with. There are plenty of the solution guides online, but the all seem geared towards Windows computers - obviously the error is not caused by Windows Defender on my Apple Macintosh. I have tried implementing some of the port forwarding suggestions, but either I am doing it wrong or they equally don't work. I cannot connect my computer via ethernet cable to my router - that is not a solution physically available to me - and so I remain stuck, unable to play the game unless I can get the household on-board with the disruption to their own lives. As someone who house sits and has to lug this computer around with me, this is. Problem that only occurs here in this house - it doesn’t happen with routers in other places. The problem is between this computer and this particular router.

This is fairly intolerable, and I would love to know if there's a better solution out there.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

If still experiencing the issue, were any changes made to network settings at all? Additionally is the game allowed through the fire wall?
