    FFXIV Launcher HTTPS Error

Hello, I have the following issue, since yesterday when starting the FFXIV Launcher I receive the following error message: "A system error has occurred: -2146697211. HTTPS System Error"

I have tested the solution given in this ticket "Thema: Launcher System Error (HTTPS System Error)" , and even tested other suggested solutions like changing my DNS, deleting the FFXIV_Boot.cfg and even tried to delete the entirety of FFXIV data from my computer to do a hard reinstall, yet I still receive this error message.

At this point I'm frankly distraught. Please provide me some form of assistance please.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Is the PC connected directly to the router or are you using WIFI? Additionally could you try the following:

The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Thank you for the quick answer, however, that's the very solution I brought up to have tested from a different ticket on the same "HTTPS" Error. To no avail.

Also, I am connected via LAN to my Router. I also tested USB-Tethering via my mobile and another Internet connection in my Vodafone Gigacube. Everything to no avail.

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Just to clarify a bit more, are Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge up to date?
Is the Operating System Version most up to date?
Do you have any processes or applications running in the background when attempting to launch the client?
Does your anti-virus software have the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
