Great post, thanks for posting it.
Great post, thanks for posting it.
If the price to tele is determined by distance, then the price to tele to the moon should fluctuate based on time of day and phase of the moon.
Still pointless overall, but definitely not anything game breaking, even for new players.
You'd think they don't want people to play in Stormblood regions anymore.
Thankyou for posting that! It helps to see the changes in an easy-to-compare format. Seems the new fee adjustments won't be anything to get too worked up about after all. In some cases, it's actually an improvement.
Have a friend slowing working his way through Stormblood right now... told him he better get into Shadowbringers before the expansion drops because those fees during that expansion are going to add up quickly.
It's still not going to be that drastic. Remember that the raised prices are specifically from La Noscea to Othard. Once the story takes you to Kugane, you stay in the Far East for the next large chunk of the story and will mostly be doing local teleports (or travelling on foot) around there.
As long as they're focusing on the story and not constantly dropping back to Eorzea, they'll be fine – and even if they do, a preferred destination in one continent and a home point in the other should be enough to travel comfortably.
Teleporting from Source to First is an abstraction of you teleporting through the portal in the Crystal Tower, so the price is based on the distance from your starting point to the Crystal Tower, into the portal, and from the Crystarium to your destination.
Teleporting from Ul'dah to a destination on the first, for example:
You may be able to take a one stop boat ride between Kugane and Limsa Lominsa, but they're still physically quite far from each other. Compare a teleport from Costa to Il Mheg vs Costa to Kugane:
Error 3102 Club, Order of the 52nd Hour
The post Stormblood quests have you going back and forth between Rhalgar's Reach and Doma. Teleports between the two are already 999, so they will definitely be up after the change. It's still not going to be that drastic.
