    Dungeons after 6.0

    So, what´s the point to have dungeons, when only bosses are relevant anymore?

    Chests got nerfed in the past and with 6.0, standard enemies don´t even give XP anymore. Since we already just do wall to wall grinds, how about getting ride of the whole "dungeon system" and spawn us immediately in front of the boss?
    No need to waste our time nor the efford to create some pathes and trashmobs then.

    one could hope that with this format they could do something bold like an optional boss or even roaming bosses, but the safest bet to guard hopes and feelings would be to fall back into doomsaying and assume that we're going to have another 2-3 years of 2x mob packs - boss - 2x mob packs - boss -2x mob packs - boss. It's the only realistic thought, really.

    Turn them into solo instances or a Trust circle jerk and make a better more fun and engaging 4 man content, im sick of dunegones and SHB was by far the blandest bunch of them and were a massive waste of creativity when all you do is spam a Aoe. Tanks don’t care to mitigate, and relict you can 97% ignore all mechanics and still W2W without doing a single Buff. The 3% is snort as it’s instant death

    I don’t even do expert roulette anymore because it’s boring and never run any SHB dungeons because they are stale, best one being the first one.

    This is something i've considered multiple times, actually. Having a bared down and simplified trust/solo duty version to be done once for the MSQ, and allowing you access to the 'real' dungeon as an optional quest to eliminate obligations that *all* players need to be able to clear no matter what; in the same way that savage/extreme is.

    They won't get any better.

    Live Letter news state most of the exp you'd get from killing the monsters in dungeons will instead be reallocated on the bosses. That's essentially Yoshi-P saying they have no plans to make dungeons more than hallway speedruns between boss arenas.

    As tank main, and new player (started in June), I find it sad the mobs are so pointless people just want you to grab every pack to mindlessly spam AoEs. Might aswell delete them indeed.

    I wish there was some more interesting mechanics that would make people think twice about pulling the next pack because aside from some cone/small circle, they don’t do much.

    The only thing they did in dungeons like Stormblood and some from ShB is to prevent you to advance if you didn’t killed 2 packs, sometimes one but it’s more rare (like the Alah Mhigo cave with treasures).
