Frustrating inventory and item stacking, design(?)

Why can't we have 1 button that puts everything from our bag in our retainers inventory and stack everything. A game shouldn't be frustrating, but sitting there pressing "Search for item" on every item, to know if my retainer have something that i have in my inventory is annoying and frustrating.

There are 30,794 items in the game and you have 175 inventory slots on each retainer.

And don't tell me to keep items sorted in retainers inventory etc etc,

That's exactly what we're going to tell you because that's the right answer. You cannot get away with not managing your inventory properly.

I want to play and enjoy the game, not sitting in town clicking icons.

Then don't hoard things you don't need.
