Congested World

I currently play on Jenova, and my younger brother has expressed interest in playing this game. He is starting off with a free trial, but said he could not create a character on the Jenova server with me because it is classified as a congested world (full of players I guess). He ended up creating a character on one of the other worlds, which is now classified as congested, so I can't switch over to his server.

I was wondering if it was likely that SE would increase server capacity, or if Jenova will remain a congested world for the foreseeable future. Does anybody know?

Its unlikely any currently congested world will become available before 6.1 and highly likely other NA datacenter worlds will become congested in 6.0.

They are working on getting more servers but it will be months, if not over a year before we'll see any changes to the server hardware. Until then they're focusing on software changes to increase capacity but there's no ETA on when or if that will ultimately happen.

In short, unexpected and unprecedented surge in popularity + microchip supply chain shortages = uncomfortably long wait time with congested servers.
