Reddit is a perfect example of toxic positivity. These forums are always doom and gloom because the actually happy players are busy playing the game.Coming out of the live letter, Reddit seems to be generally very hype while these forums generally seem to be drowning in misery (and very concerned about teleportation fees).
Both Reddit and the forums are very self-selecting subsets of the player base and neither represents the player base more generally, but it's interesting to see general attitudes diverge so wildly coming out of the same event.
Each venue has different norms, people, etc. (though certainly with some overlap), but the contrast is stark.
I find these forums the best place to talk about the game.
it aint perfect but it is what it is.
To add to everything being said. The FF14 Reddit community is also much more "casual". Anyone taking time out of their day to seek out a game's official forums is going to be more involved with said game. In comparison, adding a sub to the reddit app you already use is much more accessible.
And statistically, it would make sense for the more casual players to be less attentive and overall affected by changes, so less likely to complain about details.
There is the reason why you do not see any moderator posting under English forum, especially this General ForumComing out of the live letter, Reddit seems to be generally very hype while these forums generally seem to be drowning in misery (and very concerned about teleportation fees).

Most of feedback coming from here are just useless ranting
