Hidde Glamours Locally (& other graphically immersive options)

Its not circumventing if the game allows it. Which so happens it already does glam pieces are gear like all other gear they can be worn.

The INTENT of the option is to not see something in particular. In order to MAKE them see it you'd need to either: Swap to inappropriate (as in stats wise) gear in a dungeon, or just always be in exceedingly underleveled gear all the time Specifically for the purpose of circumventing people who are using the option since you'd have no idea who'd have it enabled.. Intention matters as can be noted with people circumventing word filters and blacklists. Just because you can do something within game mechanics, doesn't mean you aren't harassing people or aren't breaking rules.

I am poking fun at the loop hole in the idea, one that is not easily fixed.

It's exceedingly easy to fix. Have the option just swap others glamours and appearance for predetermined "sets" corresponding to their job instead. Poof. No circumvention possible. This has been exhaustively discussed.



I don't mind people with actual objections to options even if I think their objections are silly, that encourages discussion or at least education. It's people who hear something someone else wants and instantly reply with some sort of smarmy anti-post for it like even if the option was realized they'd try their hardest to still do the thing it's meant to prevent that makes people wonder about the FFXIV forum community.

It's one thing to object or counter propose, it's quite another to be antagonistic.


So own it.
