Let Dragoon keep their blue aura in Endwalker

In yesterday's Letter from the Producer live, job changes coming in 6.0 were discussed, and we saw the job actions trailer. It seems that with Dragoon's Blood of the Dragon skill being changed to a trait, Dragoons will no longer be surrounded with their iconic blue flame aura. This is not a complaint or poll about mechanical changes to the job, only about the aura.

Somehow, I want Dragoons to retain their blue aura. Please like this post if you agree. That way the team will see how many people agree, and if enough do, they may find a way for Dragoons to keep their blue aura.

    どうにか竜騎士の青の視覚効果取り除かないで欲しい。

I remember first unlocking Blood of the Dragon at the required level, trying it out, and being so delighted and amazed with the blue effect around my character. I took so many screencaps and shared them with my friends because I couldn't believe how cool it was. I use it in Gpose a ton. I'd just hang around refreshing it because I loved the look. I love the way it melds into Mirage Dive's effect. When I'm in an Alliance Raid or large-scale duty like Bozja, I always look out for more blue flames to spot other Dragoons so I can check out their glamours or just emote together while waiting for pulls. That blue aura is an intrinsic part of Dragoon to me, and I'd be devastated to not be able to have it any longer.

To be honest, I'm not sure how Dragoons could still display their blue aura without the Blood of the Dragon skill. Maybe the aura activates while the dragon eye gauge has one or two eyes, before Life of the Dragon is activated? I'd hate to no longer be able to have it out of combat, though. That goes for having the aura activate as soon as the Dragoon performs a weapon skill and lasting until combat has ended, as well. Still, either of these are preferable to not being able to see the blue aura at all. Maybe Dragoons could have a pseudo "Blood of the Dragon" cosmetic skill that has no combat purpose, and only applies the aura, leaving it up until the skill is used again. I know Gposers would prefer this.

It may seem a silly thing to complain about, but I would miss the blue fire-and-dragon aura so much if it were gone. It is Dragoon, to me. That's my Azure Dragoon.

I know this is only a "cosmetic" concern instead of a gameplay one, but removing the blue flames and leaving the red Life of the Dragon ones truly does bother me a lot. I know more and more red has been added to the Dragoon image colors, but it'll always be "Azure Dragoon" to me.

This is probably a solution even more difficult to implement than my other ideas posted above, but maybe Dragoons could have a choice to have a red or blue aura when Life of the Dragon is active, if we can't have the blue flame dragon any other way.

For reference, the Dragoon section of the Job Actions trailer. It looks so lonely without the blue dragon twining around!

If anyone has suggestions for how the visual effect could be implemented without the Blood of the Dragon skill, besides the ones I already posted, feel free to add them to the thread!

(For people adding their likes, thank you! But please remember to like the first post, since liking the second one only won't do much.)

I have no idea how hard would be to implement this, but maybe tie the blue aura with Draw Weapon command?
Then everytime you draw your weapon, you're engulfed in blue aura, you put your weapon away, bye bye aura.

Probably best to have the aura active when under the gaze of the first brood (single or fully open), then falls off when life of the dragon ends.

I mean, sure it's a neat aura effect. But considering monk lost its greased lightning aura, I don't see them retaining the dragon for dragoons if the effect is moving to a trait.

Maybe it could be put in as some sort of DRG specific emote? I don't like most of the auras in the game but this one in particular is pretty cool so it would be a shame if it went away completely.

Something like a glowing weapon effect, but on the player? That's an interesting thought, but I can imagine that being weird to implement. I don't know, though!

The point of the double dragon skill we saw is to combine blue and dragon dragons but we dont get the blue aura anymore. Should be active with 1 or 2 eyes imo
