Its difficult to say why the devs have chosen the route they have with healers. If one goes by the forums alone, it would seem like the devs don't listen to what the healer player base wants. That said I'm confidant they are basing their decisions on game metrics we don't have access too, and people who actually post on forums tend to be only a small segment of those who actually play the game.

It would be appreciated if their reasoning could be explained in a future live letter.
