Removal of positionals for those two skills seems odd and kind of pointless.
If you're in position for boot shine or dragon kick, then you're already in position for the rest of the combo unless the tank hates you.

Of course, you could also argue that positionals after the first hit in a combo are pointless for this very reason.
But that's another rabbit hole.
