    The Job Action Trailer 2.0 (Tanks)

    Did this with shadowbringers, thought it'd be fun to do it again.

    Warrior
    -Do not fear. Defiance is still here.

    -Looks like somebody joined the 2 charge, 30s 200 potency no resource dash ability!
    -AoE combo in single target.
    -Another dash!
    -Nascent Cyclone.
    -Smack.
    -NOW PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH!
    -Punch, punch, punch!
    -Smack
    -Nascent ANNNNNGER
    -Smack
    -Decimate is still here.
    -Dash thrice!
    -Golf Swing
    -Waste a gcd of Inner Release. Some things never change.
    -Fell Cleave. Yawn. Fell Cleave. Fell Cleave.
    -Fell OH HEY THERE.

    Flashy. Not much to say here, seems straight forward.

    Dark Knight
    -Fear not. Grit is still here.
    -So is Abyssal Drain.
    -Plunge
    -Lets triple weave Blood Weapon for good measure.
    -Salted Earth is still here!
    -Hope you weren't expecting a new combo.

    -Hey you loved this moment from the last trailer. Why aren't you cheering now?

    Salted Earth getting some relevance back is okay. Feels like it all hinges on how the Newest Knight works and whether that feeds back into the kit.

    -Post thought. The "New Flood" has the yellow swirl of a weaponskill, while old Flood is still present near the end. Weird.

    Gunbreaker
    -Be not afraid. Royal Guard is still here.
    -3 charges, lightning, dash. The best opener.
    -Smack smack, bigger smacksmacksmack, smack.
    -FLY INTO THE DANGER ZOOOONE
    -Heart of Stoneskin 2.

    Like the warrior. Straight forward. The 2 cartridge spender might be interesting, though, it is possible that the way it lines up is that it just keeps the straight forward rotation people like despite having more cartridges entering the action economy.

    Poster Boy
    -Steel thy heart. Iron Will is still here.
    -Dash smack smack smack.
    -Spirits Within Upgrade. Could it be...will you no longer be punished for being below full HP?

    Warrior: Punch and smack. You get a fell cleave. You get a fell cleave. You get a fell cleave. You get the FELLEST CLEAVE.
    Also cheap Dash~

    DRK: Salted Earth now no longer requires macro to aim - it directly aims underneath the player.

    GNB: Consolidated Gnashing Fang Combo like Continuation so we have freed up 2 hotbar slots for more skills.

    PLD: You can handle this sword, and a big sword, but can you handle all these swords?!
    Also Requiescat changed - no longer requires 80% or above MP to get its bonus ability to work.

    Also, for wars, seems like inner release just grants 3 charges instead of being on a timer. The punches looks like it's an aoe replacement for upheaval. Also doesn't cost meter.

    I'm still confused about nascent flash/glint. Seems like something changed but we don't know what.

    But I'm glad onslaught is off beast Guage. I've been asking for it to be free since before shadowbringer. Happy I'm finally getting it. And 3 charges too!

    You guys remember all the job action trailers back then when they actually surprised you by how amazing the animations looked? Aside from Ninja and BLM I was kinda... eh. And DRK with Warrior was worst

    The new animations are okay. Some of them at least. Some definitely feel weird or lackluster. I don't like the warrior "punches" are. It's obviously axe swings with the ax made invisible. I prefer the current upheaval.

    The new ground slam thing looks good.

    It's a mix bag. I still miss steel cyclone and think it's the best looking aoe.

    I also miss a lot of the moves that were taken out. Especially drk moves. Some had really good animations.

    I also miss machinist back when it was more of a gunslinger. It had some really sick animations. Now, I dunno, chainsaw, drill, green goo gun, feels a little goofy.

    The change to Inner Release seems decent. I already knew they're not gonna completely rework warrior but atleast you're probably not just spamming Fell Cleave 5 times with your brain turned off. Iirc they reduced Inner Release's cooldown to 60 seconds because it only has 3 charges, which is a big improvement for aligning it with raid buffs, it might bring a potency increase to Fell Cleave with it since you now have less uses of the ability and consequently will make Fell Cleave feel more impactful again.

    Absolutely not a fan of FELLER CLEAVE, I'm a warrior and not a Beyblade or a sentient buzz saw.
    The weapon still awkwardly vanishes and then poofs back into existence for the new punching attack, still looks as awkward as in the benchmark.

    I loathe the change to Onslaught because it's now just another oGCD with 2 charges that you spam in your buff windows for extra dps, that is not what a gap closer should be. Imo they should've reworked the other tank's gap closers to function more like Onslaught does right now, remove the potency and cost entirely, increase the range and lower the cooldown.
    I'm all for warrior getting more oGCDs to make it less monotonous, but your movement ability should not be a dps increase.


    I do like what I saw of Gunbreaker. They didn't dumb down Continuation, which is what I feared, and it looks like Burst Strike might now also have a Continuation ability.

    I dunno. I like the new warrior attack. Nothing wrong with saw motif. I think it's cool.

    And I like onslaught not costing rage and being able to use it to close gap anytime with no restrictions.

    And a shoulder tackle as a dps button isn't bad. There's 3 charges so just use 2 for dps and save one for gap closing. I don't really see an issue.

    I think all the other gap closers are having their range increased to match warriors as well

    Except that's most likely not the case. Every other tank has potency attached to their gap closer with 2 charges, which means it will have less range (or maybe not if you are correct), a longer cooldown, a specific spot in your rotation and using it outside of that is a dps loss.

    That is exactly why I didn't want them to change Onslaught into just the same ability that all other tanks have, because now you will have to spam it for extra dps instead of using it as an actual movement tool.
