Not saying i disagree with you guys but what did you expect ? A full rework of each healer class to change most of their healing kit into DPS rotations & oGCDs ? Come on, we all know that wasn't going to happen ...
At best we would have gotten a 1, 2, 3 DPS rotation and that was it. Would that have been less braindead than pressing 1, 1, 1 ? Technically ... i guess. But i don't know for you, but personally i have my hotbars set up in a way that skills from the same rotation are all next to each other ... so pressing 1, 2, 3 for the whole fight instead of 1, 1, 1 would pretty much feel just as dumb.

If you want 80% of your kit to be frequently usable throughout fights, you should just play DPS, which is what i'm probably going to do when EW comes out since SMN got special treatment.
I'll max out WHM/AST since they've always been my mains, try out the new savage fights, realize that nothing has changed in boss design and that i'm still spamming my one DPS spell.
Then i'll level up SGE and realize it's better/more fun than other healers (though SE will likely nuke it to the ground in a later update and make it boring as hell, like they did with AST and SCH anyway).
Then i'll just switch to DPS.

I hope i'm wrong, but unfortunately as i said on another thread, their game is doing great. They have no reason to change the way each role is put to contribution in boss fights, so they're probably keeping the same ideas, and with the little changes made to healers, it's safe to assume they'll most likely play exactly the same as they currently do.

or the changes attracted larger audience and made healers more popular

those angry and toxic healers are actually in the minority so to speak.

Such high ego, straight telling those with different opinions to go away, and those who adapt to current healer design blind and unable to read

    keep this going man

stay in your echo chamber here, in this forum, and wonder why you're the minority

Is Fey Illumination/Covenant also gone or simply being replaced by the Scholar personal speed/defense buff? The Scholar Preview was so quick it felt like they forgot how to play the class beforehand. I sincerely hope we aren't going into the new expansion with even less skills than BoringBringers.
One of the abilities was Fey Blessing and it doesn't cost Faerie Gauge anymore apparently. So I guess it's just the Aetherpact gauge now. Our new combat peloton ability looks very useful for griefing and not a lot else.

Also if you have to ask whether they know how to play SCH or not, they Recitation + Adlo + Deployment Tactics in the demo. Deployed Critlo hasn't been in the game for a hot minute by now, but they don't know that, because none of them play Scholar.

While I'm fully aware saying the words "Wait and see" are incredibly triggering in this forum, with them stating that they're rebalancing the sch heals to emphasize the shielding it might actually be a thing. not to mention that with Broil having the reduced cast time it's now only one gcd loss (the Adlo itself) to do this setup. Even if Recitation isn't needed to set up the spread lo, it's now less punishing to do if you want to.

The UnderLined was almost the first thing said in the Live Letter... I knew in that moment.. that what was said, was meant for Dark Knight... And also Healers, yeh.

Looks like the healer life is going to be comfier and less clunky (bye Clip Mage!), but that's about the only positive thing, really.

Then again, considering that the talk about Aetheryte/Teleportation fee adjustments almost took as long as the Healer slide did... well.

I'm just happy that Sage asks you to dps to regen, but that will create a lot of whine :'D. Sch is just dead, unwanted movespeed will just create wipes from people that arent used to it.

You do realise that Healers are generally getting instaqueue pops for casual content and at least in my cases, have generally been slow to fill in PFs.

Contrast that to 2 years ago where the healer role was filling faster than DPS in most PFs and DF queues were the norm for healers.

What foundations are you building your claims that healers are more popular than ever? Casual queues and the extreme levels of healer burn out in the end game raid scene say precisely the opposite

What? Even tanks get to use 100% of their toolkits in dungeons. Why should Healers be the ones with the wasted ability slots?

oh yes, you would rely on arbitrary queue times to claim healers are few, while the data using Main Hand IL as criteria suggests precisely the opposite.

I won't post link here because many websites suggest the same results. it's easy to search

sorry to break it to you, but healers as a role is well received by audience especially when ShB hits.
