    Job changes expectations for endwalker?

    I think atleast a few of us are really curious on how they are gonna handle endwalker jobs since many jobs get massive changes per expansion and for better or worse not all of them always feel the same to play. So what do you guys think they are gonna do for your favorite jobs?

    For white mage, I don't think they are gonna change its gameplay much, especially for the dps rotation part.. But I hope the dps spells this time around feel better to use (visually and audibly). Im saying this because the change from stone IV to glare *for me* felt like a downgrade when its very much a stronger spell. Atleast misery feels good and assize still is satisfying to use.

    It depends. Healers seem to be getting a major change in regards to the pure/shield healer focus. We know AST is probably getting overhauled, and I suspect SCH will as well. Whether or not they respond to the cries for more DPS options on healers remains to be seen, but I doubt that will change.

    I see a lot of discussion around MNK and SMN getting reworked (and maybe BRD a bit), but everything else looks like a toss up.

    I would like to see a little fine-tuning in how DRK plays to make it more distinct from WAR, but don't see any of the tanks getting a lot of attention, as the devs seem happy with them.

    The biggest change I would like to see is a refined leveling progression for all classes. Some, especially melee DPS and BLM, can feel extremely clunky before 70.

    Well, they already confirmed they're taking out the last piece of Astrologian's identity so what was once my favourite job of 4 years is looking like its going to be a conjurer clone with a dps buff so weak its meaningless without a parser. Yes conjurer, not white mage. White mage to me has aero 3 and some crowd control and stone/wind elements and once upon a time a water attack. Not this conjurer with a functioning lily system.
    Astro to me died in shb, with a bit of it hanging around as noct sect. Now thats gone, Astro is likely going to be dead to me unless they reverse course back to at least SB

    My other favourite job (dark knight) got turned into Warrior this expansion. So not exactly sure what to expect from EW
    Gunbreaker I guess is my favourite tank atm? It might get a few good things axed.

    My favourite dps jobs...rdm I'm expecting to remain a bit stale, dancer could go either way and dragoon...well I'm looking forward to being able to poledance again after 6 years. It might get some Qol.


    I've been playing long enough to become extremely jaded when it comes to job changes because they keep dumbing things down and making things worse
    SE once made jobs and actions with the lore and gave each job an identity. Gone are those days.

    Weather or not EW fixes anything, Shadowbringers will be remembered for being the worst expansion for job identity. Every job they touched and tried to improve turned into a massive reduction, name one beneficial job change this expansion you can name 5 that people hated.

    Also the games going down a painful trend of being too accessible, to the point in expert roulette you don’t even have to do mechanics (Ran Relict as a tank with no buffs and only did snort mechanic, and didn’t die once)

    IDK man 1.0 and 2.0 existed.
    Hard to have any class identity when your hotbars come from 9 different jobs.

    I think that some jobs will get an aoe version of single target attacks they have. DRK more off globals or more to spend blood on or another part to the GCD combo, PLD more spells and hopefully a better mitigation, WAR damage buff from aoe or a revisit to that, MNK revisit of redundant actions, SMN revisit of how summons work and a new summon, DNC more dances, NIN more mudras, MCH more buttons, AST more cards or card effects and permanent diurnal, GNB more cartridge actions and abilities. I don't know about the others.

    Some annoying actions were removed from DRG to make it more playable, DRK has been super popular and fun to play, the spell additions to PLD were amazing, SMN got a new cool summon, mudras work better on NIN, Tornado Kick is no longer detrimental to use on MNK, DNC is fun to play, MCH is actually fun to play since the overhaul, GNB is really fun to play with all those explosions. I don't really know who could hate all these changes and I see a lot of people enjoying them.

    That's because of item level and it's common for max level dungeons. Leveling dungeons are almost minimum item level so they hurt a lot more. Dungeons in general have not been made to require proper play by a tank for a very long time. The biggest need for mitigation is big pulls, particularly in leveling dungeons.

    I remember them saying before Shadow Bringers that they wanted to bring all jobs back down to a baseline in 5.0 so they could rebuild them into new things in 6.0.
    I just wanna see if / how that pans out.

    Honestly? I feel tanks and healers are gonna be even more boring than what they currently are and only dps will have proper somehow complex rotations. Every time a new expansion releases they mess up healers and then the forums get tons of complaints the devs do not care. Oh especially scholars should expect a huge nerf and removal of their skills lol

    I just want every job to be fun to play. I think the only jobs I dont enjoy playing are Drk, Sch, Brd, Smn, Rdm, & Nin. So I hope whatever they are doing to them will make them more fun to play for me.
    The only Jobs I think need changes are Sch & Smn

    But then I am scared what might happen to a few jobs I do enjoy playing. Like Pld, GnB, Wht, Mch, Dnc, Sam & Drg. I personally feel like these jobs are in a good place (I know people will say Im wrong) but with the upcoming changes I bet at least half of them are gonna be changed for the worse. Im mostly worried about Wht possibly being Gutted for some reason.
